It's been a while since the portfolio managers have been out with their Rolex collections. I need some watch based inspiration.
I'm looking for a "daily driver" watch. It needs to be smart, but casual enough to be worn every day. I'm thinking of something with a leather strap I think.
I don't want it to be plain and boring, I want it to be a bit edgy and cool
I don't really want to spend more than £500, but I would spend more for something perfect.
I like the look of this, but TW Steel are a bit common for my liking:

I would prefer that one above with a plain bezel ideally. Not sure if that exists.

This is my daily watch and is fantastic. Eye catching and simple to read. Not too flash but not dirt cheap.

I a similar Tissot as a daily which is quite good. I'd avoid anything from the high street which is branded such as the Emporios etc as they are usually just chinese crap

Thats the one i was on about with the yellow detail.
Try before you buy though as its quite a (thick) watch if that makes sence.

Tissot are a good brand James.
Michael Kors aren't.

TBH My budget is unlikely to stretch to anything of particularly good quality, so looks are probably higher on my priority list.
But that Tissot I posted seems like a good compromise between looking good and being decent quality.
I went to Selfridges on my lunch break and they had a half million pound Zenith watch

I did think to myself that even if I had hundreds of millions of pounds, I don't think I would spend £500k on a watch, it wasn't even that nice.

Nothing particularly, latest standard fashionable watches with a price tag of more than I think they are worth.
You'll undoubtedly bump into someone who has the same watch on.

Michael Kors is new designer to the UK and his stuff is el-cheapo! even the automatic/chronos.. Its 'technically' a ladies brand but they are huge and worth every penny.. I was in Beaverbrooks a couple of weeks back and they had an auto chrono, white ceramic model for £275.. Thats one ridiculously cheap auto chrono watch!

Similar to what you were looking at.
If you look on pistonheads-watches there is a thread for £50 and under, some are slightly over but it will give you a better grasp of whats availible.
EDIT- For some reason i thought you wanted something for £100 or less, sorry.
Steinhart/Chr Ward/Archimede/Seiko/citizen are the usal suspects

How come you want an automatic one?
I'm just looking for a watch I like. If I like a Quartz one, then I'll buy it. Same with automatic, I wouldn't rule a watch out just because it's Quartz?

Could you show me these automatic Michael Kors please Davey?
The one you've posted is a quartz, the same as all of them afaik.
You should keep to playing with fake rolex's I think.
