When banned do you have to give your paper and card licence back? Can't remember if I had to show my licence but they don't check with dvla or anything I don't think. So could just say you got a licence and show card/paper

Yeah they take the counterpart off you in court, and i have to send the card off in the post, which seems a bit stupid. Dont know why they didnt take both at court.

You don't have insurance anyway on track, generally.

It's not allowed because to let someone on without a licence means they might have never sat a driving lesson in their life, yet they're allowed to drive fast on a track, I think not

Then you have a licence of some sort, whether that works on general public trackdays, I'm not sure

I think it's allowed actually as when I was at Oulton they had the Sax max or whatever they're called cars going round, and I'm sure they're all young?

If you were allowed with a race license, then couldn't the OP apply for a race license given hsi circumstances? Obviosuly notifying the organisers as to the circumstances beforehand.

not being funny at all, just genuinely intrigued

That's what I was thinking. Wasn't sure if you had to have a race licence, and also if i would even be able to get 1 due to being banned. I've never actually heard anyone mention they need to a full driving licence to drive on track, so was intrigued if i would be able to, given my circumstances.

A girl i know drove at Silverstone in a mini on her 16th birthday so didnt have a license.

A race license seems a daft idea for a few reasons.
They are not cheap, they are time consuming, skepitcal wheather you can get one when banned from driving (as thats different to not owning a license)

Being banned isn't the same as never having obtained a licence.

Really will depend on the policies of the circuit or the organisers for the day.

That's a good point though, well on the flipside, how can they prove that he had one and lost it....
