Sounded like it was on its last legs. Had a look yesterday and found this

Crack runs most of the way round the manifold
clearly been blowing for some time

then i found this

car has cost me £120 in less than a week, and thats without fuel. economical my arse

yeah just a 1.0 one but i shreaded the shite out of my arms trying to get it off. i got a replacement one for £30 so its all sorted now. just thought it was strange for the manifold to crack like that unless it had taken some kind of impact
