Don't run a gearbox spacer on their big block corsa b conversion?
I don't and I bought a LMF short shift kit and nylon bushes from LMF brand new, attempted to fit it and it didnt fit, LMF say it's my fault for not using a gearbox spacer... everything fits perfect with out. They won't refund the money for it because it's got the bushes fitted and some copper grease on it............. NOBS!!
So yeah, first question is who doesn't run a spacer? Second question, anyone want a LMF short shifter with nylon bushes?

I'm not running a spacer but I've got a standard Corsa linkage fitted atm. Why don't you just fit a gearbox spacer then you can run your new linkage? Don't think they cost that much.

I have a standard corsa linkage at the mo too, if I fit a spacer now then something won't fit right will it?

My xe didn't have spacer and my turbo didn't for a few years. Only couple of years ago I made it a 3 bolt back mount actually

If you don't use the spacer you just use a normal corsa quickshift I thought, sure it says to use the conversion shifter if you use the spacer?

I'm not running a spacer either I thought a normal quick shift would work if you shortened the bar for the top?

Yeah so it bolts to 3 holes on gearbox a lot stronger as just 2 bolts with a spacer can twist the mount etc

Isn't a bad 2nd and 4th just the linkage hitting the steering rack?
Nic, I thought all the boxes and mounts only had two bolts, what do you do for a 3rd one? You do mean mount to gearbox bolts right?

I never used the spacer . Have never really seen the point in using the quickshifters either tbh.

To be fair I only bought it in a panic coz my gear linkage bushes collapsed and couldn't get any gears. Then it arrived and it wasn't as I thought it'd be. Then with the shit customer service from LMF I won't use them again... And if anyone asks about them I'll say they're shit

You weld a bit on it which acts as the spacer as well. Can be found on eBay or it could when I got it.

yeah the thicker part is the spacer as. i twisted engined mounts and cracked a few gearbox casings although it is a c20let with a fair bit of power and torques. although its a 3 bolt mount so it will be stronger anyway.

My old Corsa XE had an extended corsa linkage and gearbox mount spacers on and it was fine in 1st 3rd and 5th but 2nd and 4th was horrendous and kept popping out. Mainly when cornering. I put it on a 2 poster ramp and checked all the clearance and it wasnt catching on the steering rack so not too sure why it was doing it Royal Pain in the arse fucking about with it though

On another note would you pay the same amount for a 'used' kit as you would for new can see we're lmf are coming from, been in there loads of times always helpful, although suppose you could of cleaned it off ect and they prob wouldn't of know surely

Would it be sold as a used part as it was it was only trial fitted? I can see the point about the grease on it though.. But still it's a new part. Plus they said they wouldn't refund the nylon bushes as they're press fit and apparently have to wreck them to get them out
