can these be bought or do they just come on the shaft from factory

Yeah, I would of thought Vauxhall would sell them. Haynes say you should change them when you remove a CV anyway.

if i didnt have this sirclip could the drive shaft come out or leak oil

Yeah, it could pop out of the CV joint.

Yeah when you turn corners. Rather than the shaft moving in and out of the cv's, it'll just want to pull the cv out the box.

hang on a second, are you talking about the circlip that goes in the cv to hold the driveshaft in? or the snap clip that goes on the end of the cv to fit it into the box?

either way both of them are very important, can get away without haveing one inside the cv joint but i realy realy wouldnt suggest it at all tbh

if i didnt need one i wouldnt bother and i wont beable to get to vauxhall till end of next week
