Just seen this on sky news. Thoughts?
Seems a strange idea with people losing lives. Should have just been left at that IMO.

Na, it was the Titanic. I watched the most unconvincing documentary I have ever watched stating they swapped the Titanic with the Olympic as an insurance job so I did some research. It would have been impossible to pull off and too noticeable because the ships where not identical (108 externally visible differences to be precise). Also a lot of the stuff from the Olympic was auctioned off when the ship was taken out of service in 1930. A lot of this stuff had the ship builders code '400' (which was the Olympic's build number) imprinted on things, while the Titanic had a build number of '401' which has been found imprinted on items from the wreck site.

This is very true. Too much evidence to prove it was the Titanic that sunk.
