On the Cougar, the bonnet has a few blemishes due to rocks hitting it from cars/trucks in front or whatever and these blemishes are also now starting to oxidise so it needs sorting and respraying.
The front bumper is cracked a little at the bottom and it looks like the previous owner did a bodge repair/spray job on it so that just needs completely stripping back/filling with fibreglass or whatever and respraying.
What sort of price do you think I would be looking at to have this work done?
I think it's silver frost, basically the same colour as this Wikipedia photo:

What's the figure like of total spend on repairs for this car now Sam?
To answer, with filling and spraying bonnet/bumper, I'd take a stab at £250-300.

If your going to do bonnet and Bumper I would reccomend getting the wings blended for not much extra cost.
Looking at around £400 ish.

Ahh OK, that was the sort of figure I had in my mind.
Just wanted to get rough ideas on here first before I get some actual quotes from bodyshops, don't want to get ripped off or anything

One thing I forgot to ask you lot (as I've never actually had to get anything done in a bodyshop before), should I be asking to see examples of their work/photos etc.?
I remember my brother used to have a Corsa years ago and it was involved in an accident. Anyway, it was a Vauxhall main dealer that did the repairs and the quality of work was shocking, wing/bonnet didn't appear to sit right, and there was an obvious paint run down the wing from where the windscreen/bonnet is if that makes sense. Just don't want to pay for shit work like that

Instead of going to a shop and asking for examples, find out from people who's have work done in your area who's best. Oh, and rocks falling on it?

You could buy a complete car for what you'll pay for the bodywork doing.

Tbh I doubt they would have pics of cars they have done.
Just take it to a reputable body shop. If your not happy with it after. Tell them before you pay. If they refuse to fix just drive off in It.
