May not be to everyones taste, however what are your thoughts on them, are they reliable or known for trouble

What about running costs

My favorite topic.

I bought one in Feb. Absolutly love it. Running costs aren't bad being a 1.4 tsi engine. Full tank will last me a week and abit with bit of hooning around. Tax is quite cheap Ł136/year also.

7speed DSG gearbox lvoe it, cant tell it's changing gear) so it's Semi-Auto. 47ltr tank (about Ł50 to fill). Can't go wrong.

Mine:

HTH

Anything else.

Can I ask why you have blurred out the numberplate when you have it on clear show in your avatar

35-40. it's good for what it is.

And on Mways I stick the Cruise control on and if I need to overtake just put my foot down. You'll love it if you do get one.

I think they are horrid cars to look at. The old Fabia looked better. The whole black roof thing and the way it's designed looks shit and an after thought. And the side profile is terrible.

Front and back look nice, but side-on is a bit weird due to the rear quarter.

I do like them, but prefer the looks of the Ibiza Cupra/Bocanegra and Polo GTI.

Heard internet horror stories about the engine though.

im of the same opinion, saw one driving the other way into work, looks too tall if that makes sense, looking more like a people mover than a hatchback, not my cup of tea at all, much preferred the old shape

I remember first seeing one in work. It was the same colour as the top pic and I thought it looked really nice in the flesh.

Never did get to drive a VRS properly but the salesman all said it was awful on fuel

Not a fan of the looks, side profile as said looks wrong. Looks long and thin, and kinda like it would tip over easy.

oil consumption can be an issue but again its hit and miss

I know someone who has to put in a litre of oil every 2000 miles - but the dealer states thats within design limits of 1500 to 6000 miles for oil top ups
