The house my partner and my self are purchasing has a nice size bath room however we are in a terrace house so has no window, I've heard of 'day light' bulbs giving off 'natural' light. Doing some research on them, does any one have any? are they good for this sort of thing or am i thinking there going to be some thing there really not

yes my mam uses them for her arts n craft lamps, work very well but they are 100w one she uses and they dont last very long. Maybe LED ones are avilable now?

Would they give off a better light for rooms like the one im after it for? Don't want the room to look dull & dingy (if this is possible of coarse)

Gloss/shiny surfaces and a nice bright regular light would be fine IMO.

Fake daylight lighting looks fake.

Why don't you get one of those skylight things that take a 'tube' of light from the roof?

I fitted a velux sky tunnel in my house in one of the bathrooms with no windows, made a good difference.

You can get daylight temperature LED bulbs - my parents have similar:

There's something about LED lighting though that irritates my eyes, I'm not sure if many other people notice it though? I think it's because most LED light is strobed using PWM.

my mams bulbs were 100% perfect like daylight

LEDs give me a headache like an old CRT monitor on 60htz - some people just cant see them flickering but i can

Just get non pwm bulbs. The 5w gu10 tester I have isn't.
