Are the GSi L pieces meant to sit flush with the rest of the skirt!?

Because I've come to trial fit them and I get this..





They're genuine.. as I've checked for the GM stamp and it's visible..

thats how they are mate ive had 2 sets both same but doesnt look like that when on

Got mine to sit flush with a bit of sanding the paint back and some pushing
