hello im getting some lyrics tattooed on me , but for some reason when i google the lyrics i get different answers , the song is old haunts by the gaslights anthem

the lyrics i want are "memories for sinking ships that never would be saved" , as far as i know that is correct , but alot of the sites say "memories are sinking ships that never would be saved" , alot of my friends rekon that it is the first one , but i just wanna be as close to 100% certain before i get it done

I just listened to the song, definitely sounds like he says "Memories for sinking ships that would never be saved"

I don't mind lyrics if you can relate to them and they mean something to you but the word you're unsure of changes the meaning of the line a fair bit so get the one that means what you want it to mean. Although I think it means nothing and you just like the song, and if that's the case don't get the tattoo.
