My labrador used to do the same thing. Only dog I have ever seen that actually sits there grinning.

I think it's more angry than anything my dogs do it when they growl

no sometimes my bloody mum gives him loads of treats he cant eat, or takes his time with and gets a bit feisty sometimes if he thinks your taking them back lol
