Little help needed. I've got £5000 spread across various accounts and want to put it in one high interest rate savings account. What kind of percentage rate is good (Currently 0.15% which sounds tiny to me) and what bank do you put your savings in to?

Cheers ya'll

I've got mine in my Halifax 'Reward Saver' account, simply as it's easy to access, the interest is probably terrible but I value being able to get at it more than earning a couple houndred quid a year on it.

I would use some caprisson sites if I were you, if you aren't going to touch it then you can probably earn most in an ISA.

Where ever you put it you'll make sod all.. ISA's make the most but its still chicken feed! Mine returned just over £100 a year

As for Halifax Reward Saver, I've got £20k in mine and it pays £14.78/month.. YIPPEE

There are loads of deals out there that look good at a glance but the allowances are a joke

another thing to look at is the bank itself and how they are doing, dont want to pile it all into a bank offering the highest rate its if its likely to go t*ts up soon.
