I always do it myself, more control that way in case something fucks up.

Got online banking? Cancel them all and set them back up with your new bank

Unless its a RBS owned bank of course...

halifax changed all mine for me. was easy. went into the bank, sat on the phone to someone in a call centre place and didn't have to do anything else.

First Direct did all mine too. Worked out well as it gave me a chance to tell them to delete a whole load that were still set up but I never used (for example to pay off old credit cards)
