I have a couple of questions around this:
1) Is it less highly regarded than normal study? Say for example a uni offers the same course via normal study or distance learning, I'm guessing you wouldn't have to disclose that you did it via DL?
2) Anyone done it on here? Any thoughts/opinions?
I'm looking at doing either a post grad diploma or a masters. Or both.

Different unis are regarded higher than others so I'm guessing its the same with distance learning

OU degrees are very highly regarded due to the amount of work involved in obtaining one.

I'm not talking about OU, just normal unis that offer distance learning.
This is the best looking DL course I've found so far, can also do flexible learning where some is DL and some is on campus.

I imagine in that case you wouldn't have to say you did it the dl way

You don't have to say. The only difference is you miss out on lectures so it's completely self taught. Most courses run graded online discussions though which allow all students to interact. On graduating your qualification is no different from anyone else, just make sure you select a decent university.

I do ACCA through a mixture of distance learning and in classroom.
dont have to disclouse how you study as far as i am aware, its the same course at the end of the day regardless of how you study it, saying that if i was interviewing someone and it was between someone who passed doing it dl and in uni id lean towards the dl purely as they have taught it themselves and not been told it so id like to think they knew what they were doing as it took them more effort to learn it.

I'd be looking at how employers rate the establishment more than how you obtained it.
I'm doing a building surveying degree on a distance course but as said you don't have to disclose that if you don't want to. I think studying at a distance is more highly appreciated and shows more commitment over other candidates
