Whats the best way to sell on there?

Auction with low starting price or fixed price with offers?

thats gonna be a tough one as i guess many have had equal sucess and faliure on both types..

i personally would say fixed price with offers, but put your price say £100 more than you want so when someone comes in with an offer you got room to negotiate on your terms if that makes sense fella

Ive had it fixed price for a few weeks, up for 3750, want 3500. Just been getting offers for 2800-3000. That was on Gumtree mind, going to try ebay now.

perhaps you're just gonna have to let it go cheaper or keep on to it. people don't want to buy cars for money these days, want everything for cheap or part ex for a montego diesel.

Everyone tries to be a wheeler dealer nowadays, even if the cars already cheap enough.

This is spot on it's fucking ridiculous.

Price your car spot on and people will offer £500-700 less

Overprice it by £500 you will get sod all interest.

If someone offers you 3500 and you say 3600 you wont hear from them again.

Country is full of cheap cunts who want a 50k miles car for the same price a 100k car is up for sale.

I had my vectra on ebay, pistonheads and gumtree. In the end it sold through a message on ebay just an hour ago. I put it up for a few hundred more than I wanted knowing full well people would offer me less.

A guy off gumtree "really wanted it" and was texting me all week mithering saying he'll come on saturday and would I keep onto it for him, etc. Gets to this morning and he's uncontactable Gumtree imo from the response I've had this week is full of complete morons who basically try to blag deals for peanuts through "texts" and even then you're lucky if they show.

Gumtree is a complete waste of time. I had a fridge up for sale on there and had some retard woman hounding the fuck out of me. Then went cold once we had come to a deal. She is still in my phone actually under "Waste of Skin".

Cars, eBay everyone is looking for a cheapy. Me included

I buy my missu's cars cheap on eBay then sell them on autotrader when she is finished or I see another good deal. I always go straight to AT because of the type of buyer, I always get plenty of calls and rarely get grief over the prices. Well worth the extra money IMO.

My sister is selling her Corsa C Diesel. It's both on AT and Ebay and no one is interested at all even though it is priced at bottom price

Where ever you advertise the car you are guaranteed to get time wasters and lots of them. Take it from me avoid gumtree like the plague. I use autotrader again and cars do sell on there quite easily
