could be your epiglottis! This is the little flap in the back of your throat that prevents you from choking. (you cannot see it) This may be inflamed. Try gargling with warm salt water for a couple days and see if it goes away.

or maybe tonsil stones also eating lots of salt can give this feeling so my mum has just said

check for lumps by feeling the outside of your throat and by looking inside. I have a pullip on the roof of my mouth way at the back, about the size of a pea, been there a year and not grown since, had blood tests but it's benine, when it first appeared, it made my glands swell so I swore I had cancer, lol, better safe than sorry though!
