Went into the local dobbies aquarium and the cheapest set up there was £89.99 without gravel and plants

Had a wee look on ebay and the cheapest I can see is £72 for about the same size if not a wee bit bigger

Anybody got any experience with tanks? whats the best type? wheres the cheapest place online to get them?

Its for ma wee boy but we want to get him a decent size say 30ish litres? so he can have about 10 fish?

30 litres is to small really for 10 fish iirc unless you want things like daniows, tetras etc

Have a look on local trade sites for cheap fish tanks, me & my ex got a very large tank for £50 including heater & filter and a cupboard to stand on.

Put it this way, the tank only just fit along the entire back seat of my corsa B.

Also I heard a rumour that fish only grow to the size of the tank chrisritch?

All I can say am4nf is, if you're not that bothered, get a standard fish tank, else a tropical but never a marine. Fish can be more difficult to look after than dogs & cats -.-

I got my 110L tank for free as someone I knew wanted to get rid, there's always plenty on the likes of gumtree etc though.

I've found 110L to be an ideal size, doesn't take up much room, allows for plenty of fish, and with regular water changes, requires very little cleaning
