Mrs is 37 weeks on Monday and her skin on her stomach is covered in deep sore stretchmarks. Now these are to the point of bleeding and she hasn't slept more than 1-2 hours a night for a week. I am not exagerating, they look very painful and will most likely leave scaring all over.

They are weeping badly now and since they're basicly a constant open wound im very worried about her getting an infection.

The midwife basicly told her its tuff, the doc gave her cream that hasn't helped at all. She has 3 weeks to go so they are most likely going to get even worse.

Any ideas what might help before I ring the hospital and go mad??

cant believe they haven't induced her or something

Thats nothing to be worried about. 1 -2 hours sleep a night is normal for a heavily pregnant women. Stretch marks will happen as the skin is being stretched. The fact that they are red is a good sign as it means they have a blood supply and will fade after the birth. The wife had marks like them over her bump and down her legs. As said about they wont induce because she is in discomfort. Baby not really fully ready to be born until 39 weeks min.
