was pulled over this morning doing 42 in a 30.

i was coasting down a hill to save abit of fuel, and as i went round the corner the police car was there pointing radar at me , my own fault not going to make any excuses.

but as i allready have 3 points for speeding do you think i stand a chance of being accepted to do the course or just get a £60 fine and another 3 points.

have you been offered the course in the last 3 years?

In staffordshire, you're offered the course if you're caught between 38 and 44mph, below and you're not prosecuted and above is a fine and points. Every constabulary is different though as I know Cheshire proescute at 35mph in a 30 zone

It's not but people think it is because you're "not in control of the vehicle".

beaverhill mate handsworth going down the hill firestation on the left and as u get to the bottom theres a tiny carpark on the left he was parked in there.

dont know if this was a scare tactic or not but he did say theres a big incentive on speeding in south yorkshire for the next two weeks so i was to keep an eye on my speed as traffic cars will be parked allover

Think the threshold for the course must vary amongst local forces.

That wouldn't get you the Awareness course down here anyway.

It's a shame others don't erect signs in front of the coppers to warn other motorists, that'd be quite funny to piss them off.

"not caught anyone all day!" lol

i done a speed awareness course on saturday. it cost me £95 and 4 hours of my time.

it was actually very educational and the people giving the presentation were light hearted and normal down to earth blokes.

they aren't police officers so aren't righteous stuck up cunts.

if you get offered one i'd say take it.

i didn't even know hgv's could only do 40mph on single carriageways until they said
