The problem is the world revolves around bent deals and back handers.
I was surprised VM wasnt awarded this, but it probably boils down to top level people being chummy with people within FGW.

People only like virgin because of Branson. Most won't even notice a difference.

I know virgin have aquired (spelling?) some routes from MAN (manchester) to LHR (heathrow) from something to do with the train situation.

5x (i think) daily flights between the two hubs with a small airbus
