house day.
I cant imagine it would be that difficult. Most PVC panels simply pop off if you slide a knife behind etc.

Ah shit forgot about house day.
I googled it anyway, and seems piss easy to do myself. Still have the key, incase you were thinking i had lost them or something.

If it's just for a new key there's only one screw then the barrel comes out, new one in and screw back in.

You don't need to remove any panels.
There will be a screw on the edge of the door in line with the cylinder. Unscrew that all the way out, put the key in the cylinder and turn about 1/4 and pull towards you, bit of trial and error moving the key until the cylinder slides out.
Cylinders can be bought from any decent locksmith/ironmongers for about £10. Take the cylinder with you so you get the right shape and length, cylinders for PVC doors tend to have the tab slightly offset.

Wilko's will be cheaper than B&Q I bet...

I would only use a cheap wilkos option for a quick fix until I had one of these on order.

At the risk of repeating myself, I will even it means one person has a little think and improves their home security.

I bought 4 padlocks in wilkos once all packaged seperately and all the keys fitted each padlock...
For that reason I would sooner buy one from b&q

B&Q will be expensive too, if they even stock the cylinders needed for PVC door locks.
Allan is completely correct too, I actually came back into this thread to point out that a more secure (but also more expensive) version is now available but he'd beaten me to it. Basic cylinders are a doddle to get past, I've disabled many that very way when keys are missing and also been to a few break ins where burglars have done the same.
