Hello,

I've recently come back from my 8th annual Nurburging trip (the last 3 of which have been with my Astra) so I thought i'd share a few pics and an onboard video of one of my laps (with Datalogging which gives you a good idea of the speeds you get to on the Ring).

I completed 3 laps: 9min 30sec, 9min 18sec (the one in the video) and 9min 5secs.

All had traffic and Roadworks (as can been seen a few mins in on the video). My lap timer put my best sector times together from the 3 laps and said my best possible lap was a 8min 44sec (again with the roadworks) so I was very chuffed with that as I'd been wanting to see if the Astra could duck under 9mins and it looks like she's got more of a 8:30 potential

Also all 3 laps were done on low boost (230bhp) as high boost (303bhp) had some inlet temp issues on the dyno last week so I didn't want to risk anything as it was a hot day when the track was open.

Before we left:

And my mates 325bhp Astra Coupe

And cueing ready to go on the Nurburgring GP Circuit

sometimes when you upload to youtube it has an option to correct the video if it feels its too jerky, if you dont select it then comes out alot better (kinda designed for when people are video'ing off their phone and dont have a steady hand- youtube compensates and corrects it)

had the same thing when i first uploaded a combe video, probs why yours looks like your filming on a ship

IPhone and "Harry's laptimer" £15 app which is fantastic!!! You set it up, choose a track and it starts recording when you cross the line. You can then go back in and analysis your laps. Acceleration, braking and cornering G's, speed etc. it's extremely good for the money

Love Harry's Lap Timer, wish I'd bought it years ago. I use it just for datalogging at Donington yesterday and didn't video as I have the Go Pro's and it's just perfect. As good if not better and easier to use than the £390 Vbox that I wanted.

Good video aswell, I can't wait to go back

Ive found the Ram mounts to be best. I also use a WIFI ODB reader to log gear and throttle position.

Wifi Obd Reader - (so you can have gear and throttle position)
