It's pretty well known that Jony Ive likes to pay homage to early Braun industrial design - I think that this graphic (or one very similar) was originally made for an article where he was interviewed and asked about it.

its hardly the same, apple have taken design cues for new technology from classic designed objects.
Samsung have just designed a phone that already exists from their closest rival

You're confusing stealing an idea with copying.

Perhaps but Apple have invented very little (i did think Magsafe was theirs but apparently not). Majority of their Never Seen Before™ features are stolen from other platforms and switched around a little - springboard = Palm, unlock to camera = ICS, notifications = other mobile OS's/jailbreak app etc.
