On my way to work, i join a long stretch of SPECs cameras...but i turn off the m62 onto the m621 after about 3 cameras

On my way home from work, i join from the m621 onto the m62 and go through about 3 cameras before the end of the section. (opposite carriageway)

I was originally wondering if theyre set to 50mph what their tolerance was and how fast i could go through them..so i looked on http://www.speedcamerasuk.com/specs.htm

"As vehicles pass between the entry and exit camera points their number plates are digitally recorded, whether speeding or not"

So if i join at one end say 'the start' but dont get to the 'finish' could i still get a ticket if i did over 50mph?
And again on the way home join at the 3rd from last camera and go through the 'finish' at over 50mph?

Are there no cameras on the exit? Thats what they've done down here, probably to stop people getting around it.

Going through only 2 over 60mph for example would probably be enough to catch you, whether you passed all 10 cameras or just 2.

You often find in a section of 3 cameras, only 2 are working. Which two they are leaves a little to be desired. To be on the safe side I just set the cruise to just under 55 on the speedo.

No idea how many I went though at the speed, but if it helps I got done at about 67 / 68 though one about 3 years ago, that was a 50 too.

I've been through loads of them on the 62 at 60+ and never heard anything. I don't think they even work, I think it's just to slow people down through the roadworks with there been workers on the motorway etc.

My mate doesn't think they work properly on the '62 either. Coming towards Bradford from Manchester down the hill he's still doing 70 past the second camera everyday.

I know when they had them on the 62 between Croft and Eccles a couple of years ago, they did turn them off sometimes. They were quite old cameras and on a night, if they were on, you could see a reddish glow in them, and they were off most nights yet once they were still on when I passed them at 1am so they weren't just turning them off overnight, there didn't seem to be any routine to it.

So you're saying they have designed a system where motorbikes could go as fast as they want through the average speed check?
