well im getting bored of waiting for my corsa let to be finished so i thought id buy a new car while i wait for the corsa to be finished

its a Subaru Impreza STI Type Uk tuned by Scooby Clinic to 320bhp

The guy i bought it off was in his 40`s and the car was only used 6 months of the year if that, and the owner before him was a doctor so needless to say its been cherished all its life

some photos

Its my first ever subaru an i can certainly see what all the fuss is about, im made up with it and still smells like new lol

comments welcome

Don't think been a doctor has anything to do with how you look after cars

but you wouldnt assume a doctor would turn up to a street racing meet, plus he was in his 50`s and wanted a 4x4 saloon car

Don't like the interior. Looks like cheap cover seats from Argos.

Parts aren't too badly priced when it's broken down, it's the £60+VAT labour that's making it worse Great garage tho, Prosport Subaru Stockport, where I've took all 3 of mine.

Tensioner £175
Belt £124
Plugs £48
Oil/Filter £90
Labour for above £180

Plus VAT, little over £700. All legit parts, not chinese copies that'll let you down.

Barnshaw: Including tensioner? It's not something they do by default, it depends how it looks, but I wanted it doing for peace of mind. If I didn't opt for tensioner and he agreed it was ok, it'd actually come out at less than £300 for just a belt change.

Probs won't include tensioner and not read particularly good things about scoobyclinic over the years, I'll stick to what I know best. This place will lend me another car for the day and give mine a full wash and valet too, service is top notch.

I've already found a guy that'll do it cheap, I'd just rather go to somewhere reputable who I know would do the job right, look after the car and have a great aftercare should anything go wrong with said work (which it won't). No point being cheap on a performance cars.

On my first scooby I went to an "alternative" garage called Samurai Performance iirc, recommended by Beardy actually. Around a day later the car started making a horrible noise so I went straight to Prosport. Other garage hadn't fitted the belt right and it was hanging on by a thread and ripped to bits, luckily not causing any damage. I'll grab the pics when I get home.

Not got anything against them, just read a few bad stories last night whilst looking for prices, scoobynet is very 50/50 on them. Besides, it's not exactly local for me.

I'd much rather get the tensioner done too than regret it down the line, £189 almost certainly won't include that.
