Hi, I bought a Tigra the other week, for the bird to get around in. When you're pottering along say below 3k, it doesn't want to run smoothly, it's just a bit jurky. Also it loses around a 1 litre of oil every 500 miles, doesn't smoke from what I can see, and uses no water. The temp gauge sits at over 90 degrees, and heats up pretty quick in traffic, but drops as soon as you get moving, or the fan comes on.

My main issue annoying me is the jurking.

Any help would be great.

I might give it a go, but it doesn't have the EML on.

jerking could be the crank sensor or the coilpack is on its way out.

I think I'll go to a scrap yard next weekend and get a few bits to swap round. Cheers.

Start at the simple things 1st. What about giving it a service? And throw some injector cleaner in the tank for good measure.

The first thing I did was give it a service, and a full tank of super unleaded. New oil, air and fuel filter. Along with new plugs.

I was gonna do the timing belt but round off the, crank bolt. Fingers crossed I can get it sorted next weekend.

I did the cam belt yesterday, and the crank was a tooth or two out. Now it's timed up correct, it's loads better. From what I can see the belt was last done in 04 by a Vauxhall garage. 25k ago.

I know, I bought the car the other week for the bird. I thought it's alright it's cheap, and I'll get to the bottom of it. I think it's had two other owners since then as well.
