Hotels
Fuel
Road Tolls
Ferry (return, if you intend to drive back)
Food & Drink (inc car snacks)
Beers
Random tat

Also account for;
EU insurance
EU Breakdown

Also, event signing on fee

Obviously, if you go as a group (3 is a good number) then the costs can be split, which reduces it for each individual, and also makes long distance driving easier!

There's 6 of us in total, 3 to a car so the costs should be not to bad.

We all paid the signing on fee of £420 (£70 each) so that's that part sorted. We'll be using the Chunnel which I thi I is about £20ish a head. As for hotels we plan on using hostels and the like to keep costs down. We're all also flying back but the prices are around £70-£100 a head so that's that kinda sorted. We just need to get a decent enough car to get us there we're thinkin diesels.

Book hotels now and you will get them for a good rate. Also, find places that do 3bed rooms.

We all shared a room (3 of us) on each night and hotels were around £35-60 per night, although we booked them around 3 months in advance.

Diesel, MPV or large estate if possible.

Ours was the old Espace, it was ok. Not the roomiest mind. We drove there and back, around 3000 miles, and used about 6 or 7 tanks of fuel in all.

Booking in advance sounds like a good idea then. We're after something with a bit of comfort lol, it's actually harder than I thought.

If you know the route & overnight checkpoints already, use them as reference (obviously) and then just use tripadvisor or booking.com for hotels.

Also, remember that you will likely be in the lodgings for less than 12hrs each time, so places that are a little ropey won't be a massive deal

We were planning on camping by the road side so anything else won't be an issue lol.

It's actually my mate that organising this but he's a complete nightmare when it comes to these things so I'm trying to find out myself lol.

One of our mates arranged the most of our trip. It was a pain, wish he'd involved us all a little more in the planning. We ended up staying in places 15-20mins away from checkpoint towns on most nights, so minimal rally socialising/drinking was done
