looking for some ideas here

whats people done to their chassis to get it lightweight...

iv already got the wheel well/back panel out and a flat plate in to replace it. yesterday i took off the brackets for the rear seats.
hole saw to the rear panel area below the boot maybe??

whats people done??

my cars a non sunroof so iv got that sussed

things still to do:

- the skin off around the gear stick area
- air bag ecu bracket out
- passenger side of dash bracket off
- inner doors out
- plastic the door windows

any ideas much appreciated

Fibreglass doors, bonnet, wings, boot. Light wheels will make a massive difference too

already got a fibre glass boot, 3 rear windows are plastic and will eventually get more fibre glass bits and do the front two windows when i lighten the doors

What wheels are you running?

Taking brackets off in the grand scheme of things is only saving you around 5kg, which is a decent shit, piss and a shave

Trimming every unnecessary wire from the loom is great fun and saves a few kg

14" steels with high slim tyres on the rear and 15" 6.5j steels up front with r888's

...also not using any bumper bars behind the bumpers and all sound deadening has been removed apart from a tiny little bit in the front wich will be coming out

yeah i was going to get the door bars out as iv still got all the lecky window mecs in there too but not sure which bit of the bonnet your on about...? any pics please?

it doesnt really have any brakes tbh haha, its got standard 1600 gsi ones on atm but they dont work very well. going to give them a bleed, they'll do fine for what its for
