EDIT - VIDEO HERE:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTN5X4JZFjU

i can only just to say remember this....

was a 30 minute (I think) video on tv from the front of a organ transplant vehicle in London (i think) going from A to B in a set time as a matter of life and death. All junctions were closed, lights forced onto green etc etc

Must be late 1990s, was on ITV or such, want to watch it again but struggling to find it or what it was called

cheers

I remember watching this as a small kid but re-watching it now you realise how much of special run this actually was.

with approx 51 police involved, in london I don't think this would sadly be doable in this day.

I expect they do it on bikes these days. It's a great film.

I doubt very much that it would happen these days, as health and safety bods would have a fit. Police bikes are even more dangerous at speed, the amount of clowns pulling out on you in London is unreal.

That's brilliant. Sound of that engine, especially through the tunnel!

Only gripe though is that it was for a a foreigner, in their country they'd never do all that for a Brit for free.

They did have helicopters but they were grounded due to a problem with one of the fleet.
