bad earth ? Had this on a 2.0 eco wreck, the base plate was rusty and chucking up a random code to do with ignition, wire wooled all the earths and it was fine.
it ran perfect on idle soon as you put your foot some it was sluggish and popped its guts out

From that video it looks like it has the traction control flap fitted? That's not staying closed is it?

cant see why that matters but it was a x16xe, then a x16xe than a x16xel with VX inlet...

not torqued but i cant see that being the reason for it as it was doing the same on the old knock sensor. coils been changed, had various different types of leads on and checked they the rite way round lol

I can't see it being the engine loom if the other you tried did the same,
This really baffles me!

A mate of mine had v6 vecci that was playing up,spark plugs always slightly damp, misfiring and bad on fuel.
after several used coilpacks, cheap new coilpacks, sensors and checking exhaust he had no joy, fitted a good quality coilpack and problem solved .

if it was a 1.2 8v the spi pump would maybe have been struggling as apposed to the mpi pump you have from the sport engine

its had 2 coilpacks, the original X25xe one and a known working C25xe one
slight difference in them but they both work, just the leads go a different way around and iv checked their on rite
