I'm on the fence about that. He wants £2100, only the same as putting a reserve on and disclosing it. Except that way Ebay don't get as much money off him.
Better than letting it run and telling you afterwards. In fact if you wanted it sooner you could offer him that and not wait.
I do think it'll finish cheap though because he's clearly Polish.

Problem he'll have is people will think he's a messer and not bid even though that's probably a legitimate sale.
He'd have been better keeping quiet. In reality a lot of auctions are bid up by people known to the seller, you can see it happen, I know loads of people who do it. But because its done well you'll never know.

but people wouldnt be pissed off at a reserve 
N bidding up can be spotted a mile off, I just dont get why anybody who was actually bidding for real would do it days before the end, unless obviously they were leaving the planet

There are worse people on ebay imo.
People who lie, miss out obvious problems, then when you turn up and its not as advertised they kick off and complain.
I dont understand why people dont fill out the adverts with as much info as possible. Not even including milage, tax, mot etc, baffles me.

Yeah, we had one a while back, won a Transit luton, we'd previously asked him to measure the height of the rear door because if it was less than 6ft 4, it was useless to us, he told us it was 6ft 9, we went to collect it and it was actually about 5ft 10  Then he starts kicking off because we said we weren't going to take it and told us thanks for wasting his time  Then asked us to put it back in the parking space because for some reason he couldn't drive it. How hard faced can you get? Told him to knob off, got in our van and left his blocking half a car park, prick.
