Where does the tacho/rav gauge in a corsa b get its feed from? Is it the alternator or coil pack? It's a c16xe

Yeah well my tacho has just stopped working? I've checked all the connections on the clocks, tried running a wire straight from the dials to the ecu and even tried another set of dials? Still no luck! Everything else works except the tacho..
