Ok I have bought an iPhone 4 off a mate its, locked on Tmobile, I want to use it on Tesco.

Ive been Through the Jail Break, its running 5.1.1 but I now need to unlock it, Ive tried installing UltraSn0w but its still giving me invalid sim,

Any help appreciated Jail Break guru's

Find out what modem firmware it's running.

It's towards the bottom

I also tried SAMPrefs but couldn't seem to get that to work either.

Has he upgraded? Tmobile will probably unlock it for nothing if he's still with them

Yeah, I have asked him to call them and ask for it, but Ive read alot of forum posts saying it can take upto 6 weeks for Tmobile to respond with the code

It's not a code, they do it on their system.

Google reveals there is no method of unlocking it other than via the network

Doesn't support Tmobile yet, none of these sites do for some reason.

Had this with my sisters 3gs, had to jailbreak it and do.he ipad baseband in the end. Careful though, you can tank it for good

Nismo sorry I forgot to mention, Orange/Tmobile unlock is down at the minute(has been for a few weeks). Apparently thats an apple issue not the networks.

Meant to be live again soon though and it does work. Done over 10 in my shop via them

Ah right, that might explain why these sites are not listing / taking Tmobile orders.
