General information -
I bought this car as a little project and to possibly make it into a track car, but I have not got the time required to do this due to work and buying a new house, so it unfortunately has to go.
It is a 1.4 on the log book, and was replaced with a 1.6 16v VTS engine last year. It has been used daily by the previous owner and myself until the tax ran out at the end of last month. It has an MOT until December this year.
The shell has 128k on it, engine has 80k on it, belts and that look to have been done, but I have no paperwork to back this up (suggest budgeting to do them anyway for peace of mind, cheap and easy job).
The car drives well, it has a straight through exhaust and de-cat pipe, I will include a brand new (still in wrapper) centre section and original cat, downpipe and lambor sensor too if you want to replace these back to standard. It has a carbon BCM air intake which gives a nice sound on full throttle. It has a new battery replaced last month and recon starter motor. It does overfuel slightly, I think this is down to no lamber sensor on the exhaust.
It has electric windows, sunroof, central locking, tinted rear side windows, and seats are in good condition (odd mark here and there), there is no headunit but the connection is there if you want to plug one back in.
It has a standard set of 14” VTS alloys and 4 very good condition tyres, the wheels were sprayed mat black, not the best of jobs. There is a spare underneath that looks fine too. Its lowered 40mm on springs on the front, rear needs doing (no parts required as torssion bar).
The locks need changing over to match the ignition as the ignition barrel is off the VTS engine. I have some spare in the boot just not had time to swap them over. The car basically needs a couple of hours doing little jobs like straightening the exhaust pipe up, putting a bolt back in the headlight support, clipping side skirt back on fully etc – not costly jobs. The wires will need a check to make sure they are all fine, there are no electrical issues with the car but check them just to make sure. The original loom is still present in the engine bay and this can be removed if you don’t need it.
The bonnet is raised on raiser blocks that can easily be removed, it has a few dents on the bonnet and the lacquer is peeling off (ideally needs a new one unless you aren’t that fussed) , there is a small dent on boot lid and a few car park dings on side. There does not seem to be any rust for the age.
The only parts that are missing (scrapyard job) is the passenger side sun visor, rear wiper, boot carpet and lid on the washer tank bottle - £20 maximum for all of these.
Please feel free to ask me any questions and come see the car to check it all out for yourself. Would make a perfect winter project, track car, first car etc. Ready to drive away! I can provide a test drive so long as you have insurance as it is not currently insured.
Logbook is in my name, I have a few bits of paperwork and past MOTs and 1 key for ignition and one for petrol cap.
