Hey Guys,
Not strictly Corsa but a Vectra B.
My Granddad has a Vectra B and the steering lock when the keys are removed doesn’t engage. What causes this and what items need fixing/replacing to get it work?
His MOT is in January and obviously needs sorting for then. So any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Its not an MOT issue so I wouldnt worry too much. Its usually caused by a worn out locking mechanism on the steering column/ignition barrel. You might get away with stripping it down, and giving it a good blast with WD40. Inspect it carefully for damage first though to ensure nothing has broken off and wedged itself in the mechnaism.

I'm pretty sure the tester last year said if it wasn't working he wasn't prepared to pass it?
One of those things where 'If it is meant to have it, it must be working"?

Mine failed MOT on the steering lock so it is 100% an MOT issue. New ignition barrel sorted mine but the problem with mine was the key wouldn't come out so it wouldn't engage.
Might be different in your case but pull the barrel out and make sure its ok.
