Well was going to buy a micra 1.0 for the bad weather but its more money than i thought to insure! lol

so thinking of putting the money into a 5stud conversion and cav turbo wheels ?

whats the rough price to do it minus the wheels ?

depending on condition on brakes and pads etc when buying the conversion, if like me im buying new, the 5 stud conversion cost 250 then 102 on brake discs and pads yet to prive up handbrake cables

depends really, will you buy 5 stud hubs and have them machined? buy them ready to fit? then you have front wheel bearings, if you run a small block engine you need to chance cv joints and 1 driveshaft, then you have the rear end, you can use parts straight off a donor car with a mix and match of handbrake cables or buy a specific kit to fit cavalier or vectra rear parts

meriva vxr/1.8 hubs expensive from vaux tho. small block splines and 5 stud im doing my 1.2 with cav turbos atm

yeah but thats just the hub for the front, what about the rears? mine didnt involve buying from vauxhall, infact the whole lot cost me less then 300 to do and that included the turbo wheels and brakes



mines used 5 stud front hubs that where machined to fit corsa bearings, it used corsa gsi 22 spline shafts as the sport come with a mix and match of shafts, mk4 astra diesel cv joints as they used a small shaft but big block hubs, on the rear mtech fitting kit with mk2 astra gsi 16v handbrake cable

rears easy imo just like making a 4stud disc set up. ive got vectra v6 rear hubs at college going see if i can run them on corsa beam. meriva front hubs, vectra v6 front set up and 1.2 shafts
