my water pump is on its way out so i bought a new one off ebay, when it arrived i thought it looked fine. my dad inspected it and he thinks that these sharp edges shouldnt be there and that all of the holes should be smooth. Anyone know if the original water pumps from Vauxhall have this or not? The place where i got it from says "This part matches Original Equipment (OE) quality specifications which means that it is at least as good if not better than the original part the manufacturer supplied the car with." so from that i would have thought this water pump would be fine and that my dad is just being a ****.

It's just a poorly finnished casting, you get what you for really. It should do the job.
