I just paid mine to parcelforce when my stuff arrived, don't remember any other charges apart from vat and import duty.

If you get it marked up as 'samples' you can avoid duty iirc also

Factor in about £10-£15 for courier clearance fees.

Depends who the items are being shipped with.

If they are being sent by Airmail, then Parcelforce will clear your consignment but you won't get your parcels until you pay the customs fees first - they normally send you a letter detailing the fees payable.

If it's sent with DHL or some other international courier like them, they tend to clear the consignment and either deliver and then invoice you, or expect payment on delivery for customs charges.
