As the title suggests really; we're changing our IQ early next year for another smallish runaround/daily driver as we have a diesel Leon for longer journeys.

Do people on here think white has had it's day yet? On some cars I think it looks great, but I'm just not sure. The car we go for is likely to be a Vauxhall for the 100,000 mile warranty.

they are alright I suppose lol

Seriously though, definitely still the colour to have in my opinion. Love the way white stands out!

Love white cars. Bought one in 2007 and got taken the piss out of in work for buying a car with a poverty spec colour

The only problem with white is it looks terrible in winter if not cleaned every day.

I got my white corsa just around the time white became popular again, and I'd say it still is tbh.

Although as said, unless washed weekly in winter it's horrid. Only used mine 4 times since last wash weekend just gone and it's ditched

I used to have a white mk3 Astra gsi and it looked really nice washed and polished, but it would always be dirty again within an hour or so of driving!

On newer stuff I'm sick of it, so much nice colours available yet everyone goes for boring white. It depends on the car though.

white because its free

(joking aside it suits certain cars really well)

Easier to maintain than black and most dark colours

Also comes up really well. Dealer washed mine last week after 5 months and 10,000 miles of it not being cleaned at all

I'm glad we decided on white as that's what I've wanted for a long time, only wish it was pure white and not pearl.

In the summer I don't think keeping it clean was a hassle. Certainly easier than the black Corsa I had.
In winter the story is a bit different and the dark streaks it gets down the sides look pretty awful, but then most cars look dirty this time of year.
I just think the level of dirt on "medium coloured" cars, like my Aruba blue Corsa C, peak earlier.

On some cars it looks great (Golf Mk5 Gti / Audi A5 SLine), on others (Corsa Active Ecoflex / Insignia SE) its looks poor.

I had a white 3 Series MSport which looked great, and I would have another white car again depending on what it was.

I think white looks good at the moment but I'm not sure it will still look good in 5 years time. If you like it then go for it, otherwise stick to a conservative colour like silver

silver to me is so boring, it never looks truly clean and shiney to me, yes it might be easier to keep clean and shows less marks but my god its far too common and boring, I am sat looking in the work car park now and nearly half the cars are silver.

Certain cars look better in white, certain cars look better in other colours.

You get rare cars in white, they then look good.

Ive yet to see another white S2000 on the road, this makes me happy.

True but if you're paying for the car over 5 years and suddenly white goes out of fashion, you don't want to be stuck with a colour you don't like.

Don't think I would get a white car if I was buying now. Grey or Red is where it's at

Depends on the car, would never want a white corrado, but a white nova would be fine.
