Mates are flying to Budapest on friday for a short break coming back sunday

Rooms payed for and if i want to go i just gotta get flights but...

When i looked a few weeks ago the flight where 80 odd return and didnt have the money

Recently now i have the cash to go they have been 130 - 140 - 155 and today 175

Has anyone booked late, ie if i book thursday night. Is it possible that the flights will go down again?

Not likely, low costs tend to price cheap at first then the price rises as you get closer to the date.

No idea but at those prices I'd be risking it.

tried deleteing your cookies? see if its cheaper, know on a certain few sites the prices go up each time you go on it (or well apear to).

It is possible the price will go down however it is also possible that they sell out of tickets

the closer it gets to departure date, the more the flights cost.

been using easyjet since i was 16 to fly to scotland and back, and this has always been the case. usually try and book them at least 1 month in advance now to get them reasonably cheap.

booking through skyscanner is good , only problem they dont add fees. baggage etc so price can be higher

also if you search for a flight , try a few places then search again the prices go up

It's already on 175, I'd risk it. If's too much on Thurs then fuck it off and plan one another time more in advance, when the flights are cheaper.

A passenger name can be changed online at the rate of £110/€110 or via the airport or reservation centre at the rate of £160/€160. Name changes can be made up to 4 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time either online (unless you have already checked in online*)or via a reservation centre (subject to opening hours). Any name change made to a flight reservation must be for that individual passenger's complete flight itinerary.

Howcan they charge this much?

Fee to change the name is a joke. You might be better going to the airport and asking if there is any room, don't let on you actually want your mate's seat.

Book like nick says. You may not be on same flights but as long as they are similar times doesn't really matter. Luggage you won't have to worry about as you'll just carry on.

Change of name fees
