Looking at getting something shipped over, how safe is it? Any advice? What are the impo/customs charges like etc?

You'd need to buy loads. Charges will depend what you're doing. Its still very much cheaper for a lot of stuff but you'll be in for a good few grand to be on the right side of it.

It must have changed as as LeeM says you can get less bulk now. Seen something that we reckon would be coming in at 250 top estimate that a distributor here is wanting 600 for.
