Now i've been told about this 'carb cycling' for rapid fat loss.

Basically a 3 day cycle of;
High carbs
Low carbs
No carbs

On my high carbs day, i eat well (stay away from high fat foods) and train that evening.

Low carb day is usually, toast in the morning, fruit mid morning, rice cakes with either tuna or ham etc then a simple low carb evening meal.

No carbs day i usually skip breakfast (purely because i don't fancy tuna for breakfast), lunch is tuna salad and evening meal is fish of some sort, with a salad.

A few questions;
Does anyone have any experience of this?
What can i have for breakfast on my no carb day?
What sort of time scale should i expect to see results?

At the gym i do mainly cardio (weight loss program on the bike x 2, which is 66mins), then occasionally do reps on the weight machines (biceps, shoulders, chest etc), but not mega sets.

Now i'm happy with my body apart from my 'belly' (all the result of beer )

Anyone advise any exercise and/or other meal plans?

I dropped them for 10 days and lost 10lbs. Basically just ate salad, fish and white meats. Cut out all other crap for those two weeks too so no sugary drinks, chocolates, crisps, biscuits and even cut out fruit to cut down on sugars more.

Seemed to work and its stayed off too

but carbs are stored as glocygen, your body will carry about 7lb of glycogen, so when you stop eating carbs, you will lose weight due to that.. thats why cambridge diet works so well in the first 2 weeks for people, they lose a stone and then it slows up as the body starts to burn through the fat

I suppose the clever way to do it would be to carb starve for a week or so, then only eat carbs on workout days and only before workout, so your body will be using the glycogen for workouts and burning fat rest of the time

What Russ said tbh.

But its going down to desperate measures, just eat healthy meals and smash the cardio along with big weight sessions.

So you've dropped all the bad stuff from your diet and lost weight. Not dropped carbs and lost weight

Sounds a lot, hopefully you weren't too fat to begin with otherwise you'll end up with loose skin losing it that fast

Good job though

Losing weight is pretty simple, all you need to do is get a net calorie deficit. A lb of body fat is roughly 3500 calories so eat no more than 2000 cals a day, with very little exercise and you should lose 1lb a week
