Posting this on behalf of a mate..
He has sold his m3 and decided to get his bike licence..
So while hes doing lessons he bought a cheap rs125 to get around on. A mate donated a set of two piece leathers and gloves.
Problem is theyre dirty and the previous owner is a heavy smoker.... They fucking stink.
Best way to clean, they dont zip apart inside?

Take out the pads, (make it easier for yourself) turn the jacket inside out and use a damp cloth with soapy water then Febreeze, but make sure you don't get Febreeze on the leather.

Is there not a label inside that says how to clean them? I don't think you'll ever get them spotless.

Have you seen how much leathers are?
He doesnt want to buy a set till he gets a proper bike.... So he can get matching ones

You're in the North East right?
Scott Leathers are round your way, give them a bell, they probably recommend either a product or someone to do it for you. My dad used to get his cleaned by someone who picked them up, don't think it was very expensive.

You can dry clean then but it's expensive. For the outside, Dianese do leather cleaner and conditioner that's pretty good. However i'd wipe down the outside with very mild soapy water first to get rid of most of the bugs and shite, if any.
The inside can be down with mild soapy water again and Febreze.

The linings should unzip and you can then put them in the washer on a 'hand wash'. For the outside I use mild baby wipes.

I've got a Nikwax kit for cleaning and waterproofing the outers. Did it a few weeks ago and the outers came out near enough spotless.

Lets take guesses what his name is. I'm going for Fernando. Or John. No wait, I'll stick to Fernando.

I dont think theres much mystery who he is, yes, its john-d.
He bought a 2001 rs125 for Ł700 and is going to keep it a year till his test is passed and he has a years no claims. He then will buy new leathers that match the new bike he buys. At current he fancies a daytona 675.
