Hey guys, turned 17 couple weeks ago, started driving and soon to be put in for my test (i could drive before hand so didnt take long)

My first car is to be a corsa 1.6 GSI

With liverpool victoria i was quoted 3,800 FC, however i put my dad as main insurer and me as a second driver and its now 1,300 FC!!!

Im not too fussed about building up a NC on my own policy just yet as im moving abroad anyways so wont be able to take my car there and aint planning on coming back for a good few years...

U reckon i shud do it that way then?

lol, its amazing how many guys say "you will crash" etc etc.

Fair enough, i take your point that most people at 17 who pass there test cant drive for shit. And im not gonna be one who comes on here saying "oh im this shit hot racing driver" etc etc

But it might surprise you to know im a very good very safe driver, and i aint that keen on speeding around and risking both my life, and my car!

So im not sure i would agree that i will stereotypically CRASH my car just because im 17 and its powerful.

I have been able to drive for 3 years as my uncle lived on a farm and we used to go grass tracking etc.

I've been driving since i was 9 and my Dad is a driving instructor, so i've had lots of experience, i haven't crashed but i've been close, i don't think i'm a good or a safe driver cos i'm inexperienced, and so are you. I have been told by lots of ppl that i'm a really good driver, and they feel safe with me driving, but believe me, you don't want a Gsi at 17

OK go on, don't expect to be able to insure it if you get caught speeding, or have a crash btw
