Just changed over my discs and pads this evening and now need to bleed them, have only changed the front can I get away with just bleeding the front set??

I'd do it just for the sake of it. New fluid can completely change the feel of the brakes if the old stuff is knackered. Which you can't really tell by looking.

You don't need to bleed if just changing discs and pads :/

Got a bit of travel on the pedal where I had to pushed the piston back in

Still shouldn't need to bleed them. Only need to bleed them if you have removed a brake line and its got air in the system.

The pedal travel is probably due to the new discs and pads. Or it will seem like pedal travel because they havn't bedded in yet.

Brake fluid filler cap open to push the piston back? Im assuming airs been introduced there

I wouldn't think so, it would be pushing the air out if anything. Even pumping the pedal with the cap off shouldn't bring air into the system.

Its up to yourself, i wouldn't bother doing it, but if your not sure, it only take a few mins each side so for peace of mind.

But then if you think you might need to bleed them, you might want to think about flushing the whole system if it hasn't been done in a while. Brake fluid will absorb moisture over time and be less efficient.

You won't get air in them just doing that however if you think they need bleeding anyway due to a spongey pedal you will need to do it all round
