Hi, i've got corsa b with a 1.8 vec engine in it and when i start it up everythink seems to be runs fine and start driving it in 1 and 2 gears its alright, untill i get to a hill then it start to struhggle on it and then just cuts out, i then leave it for a few mins start it up and it starts up alright, put i have to keep the revs up just to get it up the hill also it runs crap when it's in 3, 4 and 5 gears. All i can think is to put a new fuel pump on it,
Any advice would be great coz i need it on the road asap

It did start flashing when i pop to get petrol coz i died on me at the petrol station, ( i had to jump start it) then it stopped so i changed the battery thinking it was that and coz that one old!!

the EM was flashing on it when it stoped the first time the car car died on me then i jumped started it with the cables and it was running fine but then when i was going up a hill it just slowly died on me again like there's no petrol in it, turned it off waited a few seconed turned it over and it fired up again, got home after reving the ass of it, when i was there i change the battery over coz the one that was on it looked very old, onced fitted started her up, ticking over nicely and then when i tryed to drive it off the drive way, it slowly died on me again, and for same reason it don't like thired fourth and fith coz it killers the car.
I'm not stalling it mate!!

What fuel pump is in it? SPI or MPI?

If it tick's over ok, them struggles when rev's pick up and die's, is the CAT blocked or
has the back box collapsed, causing back pressure!?!?

I' mnot sure what fuel pump it is i was going to put the one from my sport in it to see whats it like with it,
it only struggles when going up a hill but i'll check the CAT and back box for it too

As fare as i know it was a 1.2 to begin with then someone put a redtop in, not sure which one and now it has a 1.8 vec engine that's all i can tell you sorry.

If you have a spare MPI pump out of a sport try that first.

Mpi is multi point injection fuel pump. They're from 1.4/1.6 sports and are stronger pumps.
You say the eml started flashing before it cut out? That's a sign of the immobiliser kicking in, so could be dodgy wiring on the immob side.
