Now on my 3rd car, bought / swapped my 330 for this Liquid Yellow 182 Cup toward the end of last year. The write up on Pistonheads was this;

As standard the car comes with the following:
Traction Control,
ABS,
PAS,
Cruise Control,
Air-Con,
Climate Control,
Electric Wing Mirrors,
Xenon Headlights,
Automatic light sensing headlights,
Automatic Rain sensing wipers,
Cup Rear Spoiler,
Steering wheel Controls for the radio,
Factory Fitted Alarm and immobiliser,
Trip Computer.
Part Leather and Alacantra interior.

The car has recently had a full service with receipts to prove it.
I've changed the oil every 6-8k miles or every 6 months along with the oil filter etc.

I have spent thousands on upgrades for the car, which also I have every receipt for, including:
Gaz GHA adjustable Coilovers (with adjustable dampening),
15'' Speedline Turini Alloys in anthracitegrey,
Michelin PE2 tyres all round with 4-6mm tread all round,
Front Brembo HC discs,
Front Ferrodo DS2500 Pads,
RearRedstuff Pads,
Rear Standard Discs and bearings,
Red paintedCalipers all round with High temp paint,
Ktec & JanspeedCat-back exhaust with transverse mounted back box,
Ktec Decatpipe,
Brand new exhaust mounts and clamps all round,
Brand Newbosch Lambda sensor,
Evolution piggy Back chip live mapped by APT,with graphs and receipts to prove, as well as Performance French carmagazine article on rolling road day I was at with the car where itwas the 2nd fastest in East anglia,
Standard air box with K'&'NPanel filter and custom twin air intakes,
Front fog lights removedto create air ducts for brakes,
Cup Rear seats,
Half leatherfront seats,
Carbon Fibre front splitter,
Carbon Fibre frontfog light surrounds

As time has gone on I've found out most of this description was lies!!!!!!! Day after I got it, it kept going into limp mode, hesitation at motorway speeds and just generally not driving that well. Changed the accelerator pedal as it had a black one and thought this was causing the limping; it wasn't So decided to remove the above mentioned piggyback ecu as there was some dodgy looking wiring on the throttle pedal and ECU, turned out there was no piggyback, just dodgy wiring repairing the loom stopped the limping but still running bad.. despite the above write up showing new Lambda and receipt for one, decided to change it... When I came to fit it I discovered yet more dodgy wiring and the car was running without one at all fixed that and its running right now!! The whole engine bay loom has actually been bodged so just going to replace it completely.

Had the belts and dephaser done at Diamond Motors, Renault specialist, and apparently the belts were shocking and about ready to snap.

While doing the wiring repairs we have found that the main loom and clock set have been played with in the past to completely disable the airbag, abs and tc systems. Plan to delete the AC and ABS anyway and have put a Sparco wheel on so not worried about the airbag. Cruise control doesn't work either :/ after the BM that's not a good thing!!

Also found that the rear brakes didn't work at all for some reason, still working on this one! I have cable tied the rear bias valve (electrical one controlling the abs unit to control the bias) up to full which has helped get some fluid through to the rears as they now get warm from usage.

About a month or so of owning it, a bracket on the rear silencer snapped off and made the exhaust horrendously loud and boomy (no centre silencer either). Yet to fix this though! Going to get a scorpion RS192 or Milltek system I think. Also need to get hold of a cat converter for MOT time!

Anyway on with the pictures that I've taken as it got dirty and clean over the last few months. Enjoy

Day I got the car;

After a few weeks it got quite dirty;

Decided I hated how big the standard steering wheel was so bought this off Ad Blue B on here;

Only washed the car a couple of times over the winter but the last 4 weeks it's been washed every Sunday!! Most recently I took some pictures and went out and about with a friend and his Type R;

The previous owner had let the whole car get into such a shitty state.. On the surface it looked good when I got it but the more I clean it / work on it the more problems / bodges / shit repairs I find and its getting quite annoying now!

First modification I've done to it though is a Polybush dogbone mount.. Makes gear changes a little better and you get a bit more vibration in the cabin but I want more so going to be getting a solid engine mount when I can.

Thanks for reading this stupidly long first post!! (If you even read it all!!)

Comments welcome!!

Yeah just 73 made from the factory plus one that a dealership re sprayed from silver. Might end up needing that exhaust mount, will let you know!!

Thanks for all the positive comments! The little issues will eventually all be worked out and should end up with a mint LY!!

Ben, I know the Clubsport was nice but the fuel cost was rediculous!! This does double the mpg of the bm

Agreed Scott!! But 16" tyres are so much more expensive than 15's so these speedline 2120's I have look like turinis but in 15 as appose to 16"

Yeah only the 172 was classed as a cup but I just used it on here as would stop people saying "what's FF mean?"

Nice colour that yellow!if you are looking on engine tuning for it i see someone has figured out how to lower the c/r by mix and matching heads and blocks to allow a turbo unit to be fitted on these clio`s giving 250 ish bhp with protential for alot more.Look up simon comins(chip).

Really? I thought it was standard 182, either appearance cup pack with spoiler and splitter, or suspension pack with increase track width and lower and stiffer suspension or both packs (FF)

What's the 182 cup version? Not thinking of trophy are you?

That's quite expensive route is it not? Just going to make mine handle right and not worry about straight line speed as its not what clio's are really about

You mean chip-mk1 on cliosport.net?

Yup 182 is same as 172 cup, no xenons climate or alcantara interior. Boggo seats, no options and obviously lighter. Includes the cup chassis and spoilers (Available as cup packs on the FF) and obviously only available with the darker (cup wheels) alloys.

Its a but iof a cult car, generaly overlooked and regarded as "better" than the highly regarded 172cup by some.

Trophy was limited run with recaros and fancy suspension only available in red.
