Does anyone have any suggestions for self hosting software I can install on my webserver to allow users to send large files to one another (users being employees to customers etc).
I don't really want to use dropbox as I cant control it and think it'll get out oh hand.
I really want something that's simple to use and looks good.
Any suggestions

Just install a nice script on the server. There's enough about like rapidshare clones, etc.

Amazon S3 storage. Although you don't physically install it on your web server for obvious reasons, you can interact with it from your website.
I think DropBox actually use Amazon for storage, to give you a relevant example to your requirement.

Just a quick update, this is really a worth a look in:
https://owncloud.org
Just installed it, and so far its ticking all my boxes.
Looks good, clean, simple to use, open source, have mobile apps, integral apps, plenty of updates flowing.
