My car is in for a repair at a Audi specialist and they have said its the brake servo that has failed.....part is £180 or so and labour I was quoted at first was for 10 hours at £66 an hour.
I have had the authorisation back from warranty wise and they have quoted this in the repair times......
"AUTHORISED FOR THE BRAKE SERVO WITH REQUIRED LABOUR
AS PER E3 TECHNICAL ICME TIMES."
The brake servo time to repair has been set at 1.8 hours......! now what the hell is E3 technical ICME times?! Can a servo be fitted in 1.8 hours?!

When i had my Octavia i had to do the brake master cylinder and that took a couple of hours (which i think they are quoting times on). If they need to replace to servo that's a huge job. i think the engine needs to be dropped to get full access to it.

Audi book time for this is for a LHD car.. they are an absolute pig to replace and yes the engine has to be dropped off ALL its mounts to get out, its a big unit...
Still got that hissing noise then dude?

there is no book time for RHD servo - i think i was given 6 hours or so for the last one - need to go with a combination of servo remove and install and a reduced engine r+i time (as the engine isnt coming out - just off its mounts)
Did you ever resolve the tank breather fault also? i forgot to message you back on that - Basic settings channel 70 with the engine temp above 85 degress

So Audi do not have a book time to replace RHD servos? That is very odd...
A pipe to the charcoal cannister has been fitted (at my own cost) so will see if it resolves it....Otherwise I may clean the charcoal cannister out (however I do this! haha) Not happy with this outcome to be honest......

normally the canister breaks up and blocks stuff - like i say you can test it with basic settings 70 - will go 'test off' to 'test on' then test ok / nok depending on the outcome..
yeh, no RHD times - german car at the end of the day - meant to be LHD like the rest of the world

2007 Audi S3.
They have come back to me with this...
"Unless your repairer can provide book time from Audi that this repair on your vehicle is 10.5 hours as requested, we are unable to authorise the extra hours."
And here is the quote the warranty company have produced:-

Go to Audi and ask them to print it out and then email warrenty company. Or even find someone with autodata and see if it has times on
